About me

Hello, and welcome! My name's Stephanie and I'm thrilled to have you reading along!

My little life started in the great little state of Rhode Island over 28 years ago. I spent the first 21 years of my life there, then moved to St. Louis for a year of service with the Jesuit Volunteer Corps. I had every intention of moving back to my home state after my service year, but then I met a boy.

One fateful night, we both attended the same Catholic speed dating event, and then, 2.5 years later...

Boom.

You know how it goes. :)

My sweet husband, John, is a southern gentleman through and through. We live in Johnson City, TN, close to his family, so I'm officially a northern girl living in a southern world. My husband is a pediatrician and I'm full-time mom, part-time Creighton Model FertilityCare Practitioner. Life is swell.

After almost two years of infertility, we were surprised and overjoyed to be blessed with a positive pregnancy test back in September 2014. John Paul Fulton was born promptly on his due date and he's been a joy to raise ever since. It didn't take us long to want a sibling for John Paul, and we were blessed this time to get pregnant as soon as we started trying -- a welcome relief after experiencing infertility. Unfortunately, we lost that precious baby to miscarriage at 4 weeks, our Therese Hope. The very next cycle, we conceived again, and now I'm gestating that little one and enjoying every second. Baby Schweitz is due to arrive in January 2017.

So, if you like reading about growing a family, Catholicism, infertility, all the nerdy things, delicious recipes, our crazy life adventures, and raising kiddos, you're in the right place. I hope you'll stick around for a while. :)

If you have questions or comments or prayer requests or whatevers, please don't hesitate to email me at stephschweitz [at] gmail . com.

Peace,
Stephanie
